Athens, TN (February 10, 2021) – Three people were airlifted to a hospital following a two-vehicle collision on Monday, February 8th.
According to officials from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, it was about 5:45 p.m. when troopers were first notified of a collision between a car and an ambulance on Highway 11 in the area of County Road 114.
Reports state that a Pontiac driving eastbound along County Road 114 trying to cross Highway 11 and an occupied American Medical Service ambulance traveling southbound on Highway 11 collided with one another.
The driver of the Pontiac along with two minor passengers were all airlifted to Erlanger Medical Center for emergency medical treatment.
This accident is under investigation by local law enforcement.
