Campbell Co, TN (March 10, 2021) – Troopers from the Tennessee Highway Patrol were called to the scene of a car accident near the post office on State Highway 63 in the area of Old State Route 63 at about 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9th.

The victim has since been identified as 43-year-old John Anderson, a resident of Pioneer.

The initial investigation determined that Anderson was traveling westbound along State Route 63 when, for reasons that have not yet been determined, he veered over the double yellow line and struck an eastbound vehicle being driven by 49-year-old Bill Scott Bray, a resident of LaFollette.

Anderson’s vehicle came to an uncontrolled stop in the westbound lane while Bray’s vehicle overturned on its side.

Bray sustained injuries during the impact but his condition has not been made known.

We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased victim, Mr. John Anderson, at this time. Our thoughts are with the injured victim and his family in hopes of a full recovery.
