Caryville, TN – Joseph Gosnell Killed, One Injured in Head-On Crash on Hwy 116Tennessee Legal News
Caryville, TN (June 07, 2021) – One person died and another received injuries in a head-on accident on Sunday, June 6th in Campbell County.
The crash took place at about 9:00 p.m. on State Route 116 in Caryville near the Anderson County line when a pick-up truck and a car crashed into one another.
A trooper detailed that Joseph Gosnell, 32, a resident of Jellico, was driving a 1995 Oldsmobile CRL sedan northbound on Highway 116 when it veered across the center line and collided head-first with an oncoming 2016 GMC Sierra pick-up truck.
A passenger in the Oldsmobile, Jamie Sexton, 30, a resident of La Follette, also sustained injuries during the impact. Sexton’s current medical condition is unknown.
The driver of the GMC, 30 -year-old Jimmy Burris, a resident of Caryville, was unharmed during the incident.
