Knoxville, TN (March 06, 2021) – The Knoxville Police Department confirmed reports of a fatal motorcycle accident on Thursday, March 4th in north Knoxville.  

Sources state that police responded to a crash between an SUV and a motorcycle that occurred at about 10:30 p.m. Investigators said the motorcycle was driving eastbound along Woodland Avenue in the area of Huron Street when it was involved in a collision with an SUV.

The motorcycle operator was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Jeep was transported via ambulance to the University of Tennessee Medical Center with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.

This accident remains under investigation.
