Knoxville, TN – Passenger Injured in DUI Accident on I-40Tennessee Legal News
Knoxville, TN (February 21, 2021) – One person was injured and another arrested for driving under the influence on Friday, February 19th after a car accident in the westbound lanes of Interstate 40.
According to officers from the Knoxville Police Department, they responded to the scene of the accident in the area of the Interstate 640 East on-ramp at about 11:25 p.m.
Upon their arrival, they discovered two people inside the wrecked vehicle.
Officers stated that it looks as though the driver lost control of the car and struck a guardrail, causing the car to overturn and come to a stop on its roof.
The passenger was transported via ambulance to the University of Tennessee Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
