Knoxville, TN – Two Dead After Motorcycle and SUV Collide on Kingston Pike

Knoxville, TN (July 17, 2021) – Two people were killed during a collision between a motorcycle and an SUV at the intersection of Market Place and Kingston Pike on the night of Saturday, July 17th.  

According to the Knoxville Police Department, a motorcyclist was riding eastbound on Kingston Pike when it collided with an SUV, ejecting both the operator and passenger from the bike.

The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The operator was transported by paramedics to the University of Tennessee Medical Center where officers say he was pronounced dead,

Crash reconstruction units responded to the scene and the investigation remains ongoing at this time.
