Maryville, TN – Brandon Payne and Amanda Pack Killed in Crash on Morganton RdTennessee Legal News
Maryville, TN (March 25, 2021) – Officials from the Blount County Sheriff’s Office reported that two people were killed during a single-vehicle accident at about 3:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 25th.
Deputies stated that 29-year-old Brandon Payne and 30-year-old Amanda Pack, both residents of Knoxville, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Sources show that a deputy on patrol on Morganton Road was nearly struck by a Nissan Versa.
By the time the deputy turned to pull the vehicle over, he had lost sight of it. He caught up with the vehicle about five miles down the road as it crossed over train tracks in the area of Hopewell Road. The vehicle then went airborne and crashed into a tree in someone’s yard.
Deputies attempted to help the occupants of the vehicle, but both were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Maryville Police Department is investigating the crash.
