Morristown, TN (April 24, 2021) – Two people sustained injuries on Thursday, April 22nd when a pick-up truck drove through the front window of a pet shop in Morristown.

Officers from the Morristown Police Department reported that a truck was attempting to park in front of the Petsense on West Morris Boulevard at about 2:50 p.m. when the driver’s dog jumped from the seat to the floor, landing on the gas pedal.

This caused the truck to move forward and crash through the storefront. The driver quickly stopped the vehicle but not before it struck two pedestrians.

The victims, an 84-year-old and a 24-year-old, both sustained non-critical injuries.

Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
