Sevierville, TN (February 04, 2021) – Deputies with the Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a two-car collision that caused injuries to three people on Wednesday, February 3rd.
The accident occurred on Boyd’s Creek Highway in Sevier County.
Official reports state that a 2009 Nissan Altima was entering the intersection of Boyd’s Creek Highway and North Rogers Road when the driver failed to yield the right of way causing him to collide with a 2008 Honda Pilot.
being driven by a 17-year-old from Seymour.
The driver of the Altima, 31-year-old Jason R. King, a resident of Pigeon Forge, and his passenger, 32-year-old Tammy Blackmon, a resident of Chattanooga, were seriously injured during the collision.
The driver of the Honda, a 17-year-old from Seymour, sustained injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.
Following a police investigation, King and Blackmon were charged with numerous driving and criminal offenses.
