Turtletown, TN (March 11, 2021) – Local law enforcement officers and other emergency responders were dispatched to the site of a major car accident with injuries on Saturday, March 6th in Monroe County.

Sources show that the crash occurred at about 5:10 p.m. in the northbound lanes of Interstate 75 just past the town of Sweetwater and involved at least three vehicles.

The number of injured victims and the extent of their injuries is unknown at this time. 

The scene of the collision was closed off while police and emergency responders medically assessed and assisted the injured victims and provided the appropriate medical treatment.

This accident is under investigation by local law enforcement.
