The city of Knoxville has many areas that are exceptionally prone to motor vehicle accidents. Interstate 640 and Interstate 40 are heavily trafficked roadways that place drivers at a greater risk of being involved in a catastrophic accident.

The number of passenger vehicles that drive Knoxville roadways every day, often at high rates of speed, and the number of tractor-trailers that use the interstates make driving in eastern Tennessee particularly dangerous.

Sadly, as the roadways and interstates across the city become more and more crowded, the number of serious car accidents steadily increases each year. Even an accident with a minor impact, such as a fender-bender, is capable of causing debilitating injuries.
